A terrible storm broke out in Boston and it’s closest cities this night, causing lots of damage and even death of an 80-year-old woman. Heavy rain and high winds have brought down trees and wires in several cities and towns – as a result, at least 35,000 homes and businesses have no electricity. Winds cause much trouble all over the area - a wind gust of 85 miles-per-hour was reported at the Blue Hills Observatory in Milton this afternoon, while in Boston wind gusts reached the 85 miles-per-hour speed. The high wind warning was in effect until 4 p.m. At Logan Airport, some flights have been delayed more than 90 minutes because of the storm. In the midst of all this, there have been near-record high temperatures. Worcester reached 58 degrees this afternoon, just missing the record of 59. Boston's high was 60, just short of the record 63 degrees.
