There will probably be a new stadium built in Boston, as the question of bringing an independent league baseball team to the city is being discussed. The person interested in the new stadium is the lawyer Alexander Bok and he has already had preliminary discussions with the mayor and other city officials about possible locations of the stadium and with several potential investors who will give their money to turn the plan into reality (a stadium would cost $20 million to $25 million). The stadium locations have already been identified – it is Joe Moackley Park in South Boston - popular site for recreational sports, and the at Nickerson Field on the campus of Boston University - the largest athletic field for BU and is home to intercollegiate teams.
