The summer house, which belonged to John “Honey Fitz'' Fitzgerald – the grandfather of President John F. Kennedy and two-terms mayor of Boston was sold Tuesday, March 28. The house is situated on Nantasket Avenue in Hull facing the harbor and used to be in Tudor style, just like the teahouse by the beach which the Kennedy's used. But the last owner turned the house into a more modern one. There are 8 bedrooms and 4 bedrooms and it sits on a 33,000 square foot lot. The summer home was sold for $950,000 to the Hull developer Ernest Caparrotta, who said he does not plan to live in it, but wants to restore the house and turn it into a historic landmark.
