Concord Orchestra Concert on December 11 (2005-12-08)

On December 11 at 2 p.m. at 51 Walden St. the Concord Orchestra will present a concert which will include the orchestra's general and piano funds. Most of the performance is to be classical music and the orchestra will be an ensemble of players largely from the Concord Orchestra. Special attention is paid to the clarinetist Grant Anderson and an ensemble conducted by Alan Yost – both are members of the Orchestra. Anderson, who has been a backbone of the orchestra since 1969, will perform the Mozart Clarinet Concerto - a mature work that was composed in the last year of Mozart's life. The other musical work being performed at the concert is Aaron Copland's ballet music "Appalachian Spring”, which got Pulitzer Prize-winning. At the start of the event there will be background piano cabaret music provided by Jean Kelly. The event begins at 2 p.m. with a 30-minute reception with refreshments.
